Permits

A few hiccups getting a check sent out so that our building permits could be issued but no biggie.  Hopefully a done deal by tomorrow evening.  Sewer permit has been paid and issued.  Four more weeks and my beautiful lot will have a giant hole in it.  Between now and then we have to have the surveyor back to stake off the house to show it is within the required setbacks.

Wow that was quick.....I can't believe they are done already.....JUST KIDDING!!!!  I love photoshop!  This is the closest thing i can find to what our house will look like.  It is going to have gray siding, 5" wide white trim around windows, no shutters and no little vinyl fake vent things.  Its gonna be sweet.

 Here is a shot of our finished construction drive from across the road.  The fork to the left you see is the path leading to where the front door will be located so that materials can be delivered.

Here is where they removed the stump of the tulip tree.

Here is the cut up tulip tree.  Going to have to cut it and split it sometime soon.

This is the looking at the view entering the garage.  It is a side entry integral garage so it is actually going to be underneath the master bedroom.

Driveway Complete

The construction driveway is complete.  The tree is down and cut up.  K.L.Walter excavating did a great job.  The lot prep is, for the most part, done.  We still have to get our sewer tap fees paid before our building permit will be issued.  Getting payments issued for lot prep and utility hookups is proving to be a little more complicated than desirable but I don't think it is going to hold anything up at this point.  All in all it has been a good week.  I wish it wasn't going to be another whole month until we actually break ground for the foundation but I am sure that it will go quickly.  The dig date is set to be October 28th 2013.

driveway started

Work has finally started on the lot.  Here is a pic of the beginnings of our driveway.  130' off the road.  The big tree came down today too.

We have finally closed on our loan.  Pictured here is my beautiful daughter Bella.  We will hopefully begin building before you know it.
