Appliance Day!

It's like Christmas without all the decorations, it's appliance delivery day!

The Double Oven.  No microwave yet, we bought a floor model and I had to take it back when I realized that It didn't come with the proper mounting hardware.  New one comes on Thursday.

Much Better...... Bathroom Counters Fixed

Little Stuff

They are in the process of finishing up all of the little stuff.  Putting shelving in the closets, fixing imperfections in the trim and paint, putting up mirrors, towel racks, and toilet paper holders in the bathroom and various other stuff that needs done.

Powder room sink.  We opted out of a standard mirror in the powder room so that we could hang a fancy schmancy one up on the wall.  It is gonna look nice.

Pantry/Closet beside kitchen.  This is right next to the entrance by the garage so it will be half coat/shoe closet.

Linen closet by main bath

Master Bath.  Still haven't switched out the counter tops, but the mirrors are up.

Jen's Closet.  We are going to need some more shelves in here, no doubt about that.

Many, Many, Pictures of the House with Carpet

I am excited about our house but I swear I am not posting 30 pictures of it just to show it off.  Jenifer and I have family that haven't got to see it in person yet.  There are also folks who have been referred to our blog by Wayne Homes that will benefit from getting to see more detailed pictures.  I know when we were trying to decide on a plan/builder we scoured the internet for any information that we could find.

Carpet Installation in Progress

Stopped at the house at lunch and the carpet is being put in as I post this update.  After carpet there is truly only a few things left to do.  Some finish trim work, switching out the counter tops in the bathrooms, installing mirrors in bathrooms, installing powder room sinks, and testing the plumbing.

This color carpet is through most of the house.  It is in the family room, office, loft, and two bedrooms.  The Master bedroom has a light gray carpet.

Tile Floors Complete

Tile floors are done.  I am really pleased with the color selections that we made for the tile.  I think that all the flooring, cabinets, and paint colors are going to look nice together.  I think they are going to start doing the carpet next week and finish up the trim work.  We are almost done.

This picture is taken standing at the front door looking down the hallway to the dinette area that sits between the family room and the kitchen.  The door on the left is to the powder room.  On the right you can see we are missing a couple rungs on our railing.  The trim guys should be finishing this next week.  The steps will be carpeted next week as well.

This photo is taken looking down from the second floor into the foyer.

Kitchen sans appliances.  They will be delivered on March 22nd.

Kitchen.  I need to get a wooden outlet cover for on the island and stain it to match the cabinets.  The white one sticks out like a sore thumb.

The counter tops are actually darker than they look in these pictures.  There is a layer of dust from the construction process that is laying on top of them.

Main bath.  No Mirrors put up yet.  Counter top still needs switched out for the right color.  The tile looks darn good though.

Tile in master bath.  We pushed the one wall back two feet to make our closet bigger.  When we did this it made our bathroom larger as well.  We could have a party in this darn thing.

No mirror yet, Counter top still needs switched, but again, I think the tile color is gonna look great.
